torso

For this week we were asked to do a study on the torso and create 3 views; the front, the side and the back. The torso consists of many different muscle groups that form differently. Every person has these muscles in the body and they can usually be seen when that person has low body fat. To start off I collected different images of people with low body fat to see what muscle  tone would look like.

By looking at the different images I noticed that in everyone the muscles were formed differently, an example would be some people had 6 packs, some had 4 packs and some had 8 packs due to genetics and nothing to do with how much you work out. After I looked at them I did a few drawings. After I did a few quick sketches I decided to get a better understanding of them by look at diagrams of the human torso showing off all the muscle groups.

By seeing them I noticed that the threads of muscle go off in different directions and that it was really complicated. I notice that a lot of the muscles were put into different groups and some bones like the spine around the back were fully covered and by doing this I created 3 drawings of the torso muscle groups.

Learning outcome

By doing this assignment I learned that the muscles in the human body are uniquely formed inn each individual, but with overall commonalities. I also learned that the human body has lot of different muscle groups that are all differently named. By doing this assignment I plan to learn the name of parts of the different muscle and bone groups.
